Basketball Recap: Upper Dauphin Area Victorious

Upper Dauphin Area hadn't done well against Millersburg recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans made off with a 48-47 win over the Millersburg Indians. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

It was another big night for Ethan Groff, who went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Aidan Bingaman, who posted six points in addition to five boards and five steals.

Millersburg's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Romberger, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points and three blocks. Romberger has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times he's played. Lyniel Johnson was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 12 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Upper Dauphin Area pushed their record up to 5-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Millersburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Upper Dauphin Area wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-39 defeat against Pequea Valley on the 25th. As for Millersburg, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-45 loss against Susquenita on the 25th.
