Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Temple

The Skyline Raiders will challenge the Temple Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Monday just wasn't the day for Skyline's offense. They lost 3-0 to Hillcrest on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Panthers are ranked 366th).

Meanwhile, Temple's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 3-1 to Chaparral. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4-5. As for Temple, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8-5.

Skyline was able to grind out a solid win over Temple when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 3-1. Will Skyline repeat their success, or does Temple have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
