Baseball Recap: North River Christian Comes Up Short

North River Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 13-3 to Cornerstone Christian.

North River Christian saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayson Dennison, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Hayden Hensel also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

North River Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12-1. As for Cornerstone Christian, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-7.

While North River Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
