Basketball Recap: Moorefield Takes a Loss

Moorefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Keyser Golden Tornado. The Yellow Jackets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Tornado from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Keyser was led to victory by Braylon Mcgreevy and Grayson Lambka. Mcgreevy posted seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Lambka scored ten points. Mcgreevy is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 60% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Lane Champion, who had four points.

Moorefield's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Keyser, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Moorefield has already played their next match, a 60-55 win against Pendleton County on the 26th. As for Keyser, they will square off against Preston at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
