Shawnee made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southeastern Local, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Shawnee put the hurt on Southeastern Local with a sharp  11-1 win on Saturday. This was payback for the Braves, who suffered  a  9-1  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Shawnee let  Ava George and  Maura Simpson run wild. George  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and four  RBI, while  Simpson  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Emma George, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
Shawnee has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1  runs this season. As for Southeastern Local, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Southeastern Local beat Shawnee by a score of  6-2 later that day.
