Appleton North is a perfect 10-0 against Appleton East since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Appleton North took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 20-18 win over Kaukauna.

Meanwhile, Appleton East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 21-14 to Oshkosh West. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Appleton East's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Appleton North, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Appleton North beat Appleton East 12-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lightning since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
