Baseball Game Preview: Marion Bulldogs vs. Poteet Aggies

The Marion Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Poteet Aggies at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Marion has three straight wins, Poteet has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Marion came out on top against Cole on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Bulldogs took their matchup against the Cougars 8-4. Eight seems to be a good number for the Bulldogs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Poteet came up short against Randolph on Thursday and fell 16-13. That's two games in a row now that the Aggies have lost by exactly three runs.

Marion's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Poteet, their loss dropped their record down to 8-17-1.

Marion took their victory against Poteet in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
