After a string of six wins, the Auburn Mountainview Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were the victim of a tough 74-52 defeat at the hands of Auburn. Auburn Mountainview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.
Auburn Mountainview's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mande Wanlemvo, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Bowden, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Auburn Mountainview's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Auburn, they pushed their record up to 21-1 with that victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.
