Basketball Game Preview: Sullivan County Griffins vs. Towanda Black Knights

The Sullivan County Griffins will take on the Towanda Black Knights in a holiday battle at at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Sullivan County will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

While Sullivan County didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Millville by a score of 57-46 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Towanda hadn't done well against Athens recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for Towanda in a 63-49 victory over Athens.

Sullivan County's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Towanda, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Sullivan County came out on top in a nail-biter against Towanda when the teams last played back in January, sneaking past 43-41. Will Sullivan County repeat their success, or does Towanda have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
