Softball Recap: Lake George Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Granville, Lake George was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Fort Edward Flying Forts by a score of 9-4. The Lakers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mollie Johnson was excellent, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Another player making a difference was Hailey Mackrodt, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Lake George's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Fort Edward, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Lake George does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Edward, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Granville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Horde will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Flying Forts surely won't give up without a fight.
