Volleyball Recap: Lovelady Comes Up Short

After flying high against Trinity on Tuesday, Lovelady came back down to earth. The Lions fell 2-0 to the New Waverly Bulldogs on Thursday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16.

Lovelady's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for New Waverly, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coincidentally, Lovelady and New Waverly will both be playing Brazos the next time they take the court. The Bulldogs will host the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Lions will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
