Softball Recap: Columbus Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Columbus unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 35-30 to the Louisville Wildcats on Tuesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 16 in a row.

Chrishanaya Neely made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her six plate appearances.

Looking ahead, Columbus will welcome Amory at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Louisville, they will venture away from home to take on Philadelphia at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
