Carroll typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Gilbert proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Carroll 75-72. This was a revenge game for Gilbert: when they faced off against Carroll back in January, they had to take a 53-50 loss.

Gilbert moved to 12-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Carroll, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Gilbert will take on Decorah-North Winneshiek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 52.72 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Carroll, they will face off against Harlan on Tuesday.
