            Softball Preview: Provo Bulldogs vs. Mountain View Bruins        
        
		
        
        
            Provo hasn't had much luck against Mountain View recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to  square off against  the Bruins  at 3:30  p.m. Provo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2  runs per game  this season.
Provo is headed into Thursday's   matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game  on Wednesday. They lost  25-14 to Highland. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the  win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
  Tava'Esina Albert made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  fired off two  home runs, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs while going 4-for-4.  Josie Castellanos also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  double of the season.
Meanwhile, Mountain View came up short against Timpanogos on Tuesday and fell  11-8. The Bruins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Miranda Secrist was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Haylee Krug, who  went 1-for-2 with two  runs and one  double.
 Provo's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Mountain View, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Provo has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 5.6  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mountain View struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 2.9  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Provo suffered a grim  22-4 defeat to Mountain View  in their previous meeting  on April 8th. Can the Bulldogs avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
