Recap: Northeast Rebels vs. Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks
After a string of three wins, The Northeast Rebels''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 49-18 loss at the hands of Mid-Prairie. Northeast has struggled against Mid-Prairie recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Mid-Prairie to victory were Hudson Ehrenfelt and Brady Weber. Ehrenfelt gained 186 total yards and two touchdowns, while Weber threw for 162 yards and five touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Dylan Henry, who picked up 99 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Mid-Prairie's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Kaden Kos and his two sacks.
Northeast now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Mid-Prairie, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mid-Prairie will head out on the road to face off against Prairie City-Monroe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prairie City-Monroe is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
