Flag Football Recap: Sacred Heart of Jesus Takes a Loss

Sacred Heart of Jesus had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 1-15 to make it five. They took a 13-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Paul Swordsmen. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to the Swordsmen when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for St. Paul, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.4 points on average over those games.

Sacred Heart of Jesus has already played their next matchup, a 45-0 defeat against Westridge on the 13th. As for St. Paul, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 25-0 loss against Bishop Amat on the 15th.
