Softball Recap: Ranburne Finds Playoff Glory Versus Reeltown

It's playoff time, and Ranburne had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Reeltown Rebels 7-6. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rebels on Monday, too.

Addison Gibbs spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Aubie Rollins was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Autumn Lovvorn, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Ranburne's victory bumped their record up to 17-18. As for Reeltown, their loss dropped their record down to 15-19.

Ranburne didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-0 win against Loachapoka on the 6th. As for Reeltown, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-2 defeat against Southeastern on the 6th.
