Basketball Recap: Hannan Wildcats vs. Sherman Tide
The Hannan Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 77-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sherman. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (55), Hannan still had to take the loss.
When it comes to explaining why Hannan lost, one person who can't be blamed is Eli Chapman. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 34 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chapman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Wright, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Hannan's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Sherman, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hannan won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Blazers at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Bloomingdale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. Sherman will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th.
