Football Game Preview: Crockett Bulldogs vs. Westwood Panthers

Crockett is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. After each having a week off, they and the Westwood Panthers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Crockett comes in on three and Westwood on five.

Crockett is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their matchup last Friday with ease, bagging a 41-7 victory over Tarkington. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Westwood really took it to Mildred for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-26 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won three contests by 28 points or more so far this season.

The critical scores for Westwood came from Sebastian Lathan and Kaysn Dial.

Westwood didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Qashaun Shepard led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Westwood received some extra help from Lathan, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Crockett now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Westwood, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.
