Basketball Recap: Laverne Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Duke typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Laverne proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 52-45 victory over the Duke Tigers. That's more bragging rights for Laverne, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Laverne is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Duke, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.

Laverne will square off against Buffalo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Duke, they will challenge Hollis at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
