Softball Recap: McCall-Donnelly Comes Up Short

McCall-Donnelly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Homedale Trojans, falling 12-2. If the Vandals were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

McCall-Donnelly saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Val Sofaly, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

McCall-Donnelly's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Homedale, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-13.

While McCall-Donnelly had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
