Basketball Recap: La Monte Comes Up Short

La Monte lost against Sacred Heart back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The La Monte Vikings took a blow against the Sacred Heart Gremlins, falling 74-34. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 517th, while the Gremlins are ranked 108th).

La Monte dropped their record down to 3-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sacred Heart, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

La Monte has already played their next contest, a 46-36 loss against Orrick on the 16th. Sacred Heart has also already played their next matchup (against Harrisburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
