Volleyball Recap: Velva Takes a Loss

Velva came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Surrey Mustangs. The Aggies have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-11.

Anya Olson paced Velva's offense, picking up 12 kills. Olson got some help from Adri Panchot and her 13 assists.

Velva's loss dropped their record down to 15-12-2. As for Surrey, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Coming up, Velva will be playing at home against Drake/Anamoose at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st. As for Surrey, they will venture away from home to challenge Mandaree at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
