Ben McPherson, McEwen's leader in stolen bases on the season, led the team again on Thursday. McPherson did his part (and then some), scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances for the 'W'. McEwen is undefeated when McPherson posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise.

Looking ahead, McPherson and McEwen will take on Anderson County in a tournament on Friday. McEwen will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 240 places lower in Tennessee), but they're not letting that get them down.
