Softball Recap: Atlanta Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Atlanta never let their opponents score on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 18-0 margin over the Posen Vikings. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won seven games by 11 runs or more so far this season.

Jyl Larsen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Larsen was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alliyah Hagemeister, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Sophia McLean was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.

Atlanta is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Posen, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, Atlanta will square off against Alanson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Posen, they will head out on the road to face off against Cedarville at 4:30 p.m. on the 20th.
