James F. Byrnes piles up the points against Dorman

The James F. Byrnes Rebels had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.3 points), and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 44-17 win over Dorman. The result was nothing new for James F. Byrnes, who have now won five contests by 21 points or more so far this season.

Andrew Stevens went supernova for James F. Byrnes, throwing for 325 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in a rushing score. The team also got some help courtesy of Armoni Weaver, who picked up 156 receiving yards and a touchdown.

James F. Byrnes' victory was their 11th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.9 points per game. As for Dorman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

James F. Byrnes will square off against Hillcrest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hillcrest knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully James F. Byrnes likes a good challenge. Dorman does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
