Basketball Recap: Amber-Pocasset Takes a Loss

After flying high against Alex last Monday, Amber-Pocasset came back down to earth. The Amber-Pocasset Panthers fell just short of the Verden Tigers by a score of 50-47 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Panthers have suffered since December 10, 2024.

Amber-Pocasset's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 11-4. As for Verden, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Amber-Pocasset didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-53 win against Minco on the 25th. As for Verden, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Verden Tigers duke it out with the Amber-Pocasset Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
