Volleyball Recap: Cumberland Valley Eagles vs. State College Little Lions
After flying high against Cedar Cliff on Monday, Cumberland Valley came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the State College Little Lions on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Little Lions: they've now lost four in a row.
While Cumberland Valley ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 23-25, 25-23, 25-21.

Despite the loss, Cumberland Valley still got an impressive performance from Rachel Shipley, who had 15 digs and three aces. Shipley is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played. Charlotte Diduszyn also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
Cumberland Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for State College, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Coincidentally, Cumberland Valley and State College will both be playing Central Dauphin the next time they take the court. The Eagles will head out to face the Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Little Lions will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
