Pacific Ridge and Classical Academy are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2018, but not for long. The Firebirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Caimans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pacific Ridge has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Classical Academy will arrive with four straight victories.

Meanwhile, Classical Academy made easy work of Del Lago Academy on Wednesday and carried off a 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Classical Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-18, 25-14.

Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Pacific Ridge, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Pacific Ridge took their win against Classical Academy when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Firebirds repeat their success, or do the Caimans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
