Baseball Recap: Newton Comes Up Short

Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 11-1 to the Grinnell Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly ten runs.

Newton's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Grinnell, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Newton has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Indianola on the 6th. As for Grinnell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Vinton-Shellsburg on the 9th.
