Baseball Recap: Cassville Comes Up Short

Cassville lost to Clever back in May of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats lost 7-1 to the Blue Jays.

Cassville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Baxton Cornell, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Cassville now has a losing record of 0-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cassville will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Purdy at 5:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Clever, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge St. James at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
