Preview: Colleton County Cougars vs. Bluffton Bobcats
The Colleton County Cougars will be playing at home against the Bluffton Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Colleton County fell victim to Lucy Beckham's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Bengals, falling 35-0. While losing is never fun, Colleton County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Lucy Beckham is ranked 30th).
Meanwhile, Bluffton strolled past May River with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 21-6.
Bluffton had a senior duo take command as Owen Bayes threw for 189 yards and two touchdowns and Brandon Bryant picked up 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Colleton County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Bluffton, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Colleton County took a serious blow against Bluffton when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 52-22. Will Colleton County have more luck at home instead of on the road?
