Guilford extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Branden Chatman. The Guilford Vikings strolled past the Freeport Pretzels with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 70-52 thanks in part to Chatman, who posted 27 points. His evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Cordell Spencer, who had 13 points. Those 13 points gave him a new career-high.

Freeport lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Andrew Seward, who earned 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deklyn Rustad, who scored nine points.

Guilford's win was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3. As for Freeport, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guilford will welcome Boylan Catholic at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Freeport, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rockford East at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Rockford East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Freeport likes a good challenge.
