Combs had lost three straight headed into Saturday's game, but Quinmetris Cunningham didn't let it get to four. The Coyotes secured a 48-44 W over the Sahuarita Mustangs on Saturday for which the team can thank Cunningham, who went 10-for-14 en route to 24 points and six rebounds. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 16 points.

Sahuarita lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Daniel Durazo, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Javin Jones, who earned ten points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Combs' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Sahuarita, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Combs has already played their next matchup, a 64-56 victory against Bradshaw Mountain on the 2nd. As for Sahuarita, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-53 loss against Bourgade Catholic on the 29th.
