Baseball Recap: Fork Union Military Academy Comes Up Short

Fork Union Military Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Christchurch School Seahorses. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seahorses this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 two weeks ago.

Fork Union Military Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaleb Wasden, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Fork Union Military Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Christchurch School, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fork Union Military Academy will venture away from home to challenge Trinity Episcopal at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Christchurch School, they will head out to face off against Virginia Episcopal School at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
