Basketball Recap: Denver City Gets the Win

Denver City won the last time they faced Sundown and things went their way on Friday too. The Denver City Mustangs came out on top against the Sundown Roughnecks by a score of 69-60.

Sundown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kye Powell, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan McAdams, who made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points.

Denver City's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Sundown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Denver City will square off against Wink at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sundown, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Farwell at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
