Basketball Game Preview: Seton Conquistadors vs. Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks

The Seton Conquistadors are taking a road trip to square off against the Fairfax HomeSchool Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Seton humbled Calvary Temple with a 56-23 victory. The Conquistadors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Fairfax HomeSchool put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Evergreen Christian with points to spare, taking the game 63-46. The Hawks pushed the score to 55-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Seton has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Fairfax HomeSchool, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-0.

Everything came up roses for Seton against Fairfax HomeSchool in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 70-26 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
