Meanwhile, Keyser hadn't done well against Mountain Ridge recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Southern better focus on containing Kameron Samples and Braylon Mcgreevy as the pair were huge in Keyser's win. Samples went 7 for 14 en route to 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals, while Mcgreevy went 6 of 8 on his way to 12 points and eight boards. That's the most steals Samples has posted since back in February of 2024. Lane Champion was another key player, putting up nine points.

Keyser's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Southern, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Southern has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 25.3 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Keyser struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
