After low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, Columbia brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They were the clear victors by a 14-3 margin over the Highland Scots on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Coyotes as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Columbia picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 3-9. As for Highland, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Columbia beat the Scots by a score of 7-6 later that day.
