            The Memorial Red Devils are taking a road trip to  take on East  at 12:30  p.m.  on Saturday. Memorial has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 1.
Memorial fell victim to McDonald and their airtight pitching crew  on Thursday. They took  a  5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blue Devils.
East came out on top against Leetonia  on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. East blew past Leetonia 8-1. The  win was a breath of fresh air for East as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
 Francisco Rodriguez Santos made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. He has become a key player for East: the team is 4-2 when he posts  at  least  two  stolen bases, but 2-9 otherwise.
 Rodriguez Santos wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Victor Rodriguez, who  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. Those  three  RBI gave  Rodriguez a new career-high.
 Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for East, their record is now 6-11.
 Memorial was able to grind out a solid  victory over East when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, winning  8-3. Do  the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will East turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
