Soccer Recap: Dexter Takes a Loss

If Dexter was riding high fresh off their 8-0 takedown of Lincoln on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dreadnaughts lost 5-2 to the Chelsea Bulldogs on Saturday. Dexter were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Chelsea earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Dexter dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Chelsea, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dexter will welcome Plymouth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chelsea, they will host Jackson at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Chelsea will be up against Jackson's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.75 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
