Basketball Recap: Metro Academy Gets the Win

Metro Academy proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 47) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF 41-39. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-47 back in December of 2024.

Metro Academy's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Metro Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-41 win against Omaha R on the 11th. As for Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF, they will host Sunrise Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunrise Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF likes a good challenge.
