While Sharon's  win against Oil City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Oilers  2-1 on Monday. The two-run effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring  match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.
 Ethan Engelmore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. Sharon is undefeated when  Engelmore allows three or  fewer  earned runs, but 2-3 otherwise.
 At the plate, Sharon's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Marko Zajac, who  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with one  stolen base.
Sharon's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-3. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Oil City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.
 Coming up, Sharon will face off against Franklin at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Oil City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Conneaut Area  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
