Softball Preview: Robinson Rams vs. West Springfield Spartans        
        
		
            
 Robinson is 2-8 against West Springfield since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Wednesday. The Robinson Rams will look to defend their home field  against the West Springfield Spartans at 6:30  p.m. Robinson is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last four games.
 Robinson can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Monday. Everything went their way against West Springfield as Robinson made off with  a  13-6 win.
  Aleaha Burgy made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off   six  hits. Burgy has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Burgy was even better at the plate,  scoring three  runs while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  McKenna Huff was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Harper Ellis, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-5.
 Robinson's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for West Springfield, their defeat  ended  a  five-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-8.
