Baseball Recap: Siren Dragons vs. Unity Eagles
Siren extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-6 in the process. They came up short against the Unity Eagles, falling 15-6. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 18-9 loss back in April.

Landyn Randt was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Randt is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Nolan Herwick also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
As for Unity, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by nine runs or more this season.
On Unity's side, Bennett Mitchell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Mitchell was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Unity let Sam Majeske and Brian Bantz run wild. Majeske went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Bantz went 1-for-5 with two stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs Bantz has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Xavier Nadeau, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Siren will take on New Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Unity, they will square off against Shell Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
