Basketball Recap: Fayette County Snags 15th Victory in Last 16 Games

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Tigers on Friday. The Fayette County Tigers were the clear victor by a 65-40 margin over the Troup County Tigers. Fayette County has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Fayette County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Megan Ohonde, who posted 13 points and three steals. Ohonde is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Deyla Mccoy, who put up eight points and six boards.

Fayette County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.7 points. As for Troup County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-8 record this season.
