Preview: Chuckey-Doak vs. Claiborne
Claiborne have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Chuckey-Doak at Chuckey-Doak at 7:30 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Things haven't been easy for Claiborne, and their matchup two weeks ago only extended their streak of losses to four. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-33 walloping at Johnson County's hands.
Meanwhile, Chuckey-Doak suffered a grim 14-46 defeat to Grainger last Friday. The state rankings had actually given Chuckey-Doak a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
Claiborne didn't have too much trouble with Chuckey-Doak the last time the two teams met as they won 36-17. The rematch might be a little tougher for Claiborne since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
