Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ciarra Berry and Lilly Miller Lead Fountain Hills to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Combs, Fountain Hills was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Morenci Wildcats 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2015.

Leading Fountain Hills to victory were Lilly Miller and Ciarra Berry. Miller had 11 digs and two assists, while Berry had seven digs and one assist. Those seven digs gave Berry a new career-high.

Fountain Hills has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. As for Morenci, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Fountain Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Marcos de Niza on the 11th. As for Morenci, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against St. David on the 11th.
