Basketball Game Preview: Mohawk Mustangs vs. Crow Cougars

Mohawk is 8-2 against Crow since February of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Mohawk Mustangs will challenge the Crow Cougars at 5:30 p.m. Mohawk is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Last Thursday, Mohawk made easy work of Triangle Lake and carried off a 40-15 win. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 22 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crow). They blew past McKenzie, posting a 55-20 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Mohawk is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.8 points per game. As for Crow, their victory ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-11.

Mohawk strolled past Crow in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 42-26. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mohawk since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
