Softball Game Preview: Tippecanoe Valley Vikings vs. LaVille Lancers

Tippecanoe Valley is on a three-game streak of home losses, and LaVille a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Tippecanoe Valley Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the LaVille Lancers at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Elkhart hit Tippecanoe Valley with a six-run third inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings lost 15-4 to the Lions.

Tippecanoe Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackaylie Costello, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that Costello has snagged this season.

Meanwhile, LaVille came up short against Triton on Monday, falling 14-4.

Tippecanoe Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for LaVille, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.

Tippecanoe Valley took their victory against LaVille in their previous meeting back in May of 2021 by a conclusive 12-2 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
